Dates To Remember in October:
Thursday Oct 6th Rouge Field Trip

Don't forget, the children will be standing on the waters banks of the Rouge River. The forecast is for about 75 degrees by afternoon. However, this isMichigan! The water will be much cooler, if not cold. Be sure that they dress appropriately (Waterproof/Rain BOOTS, jackets/hoodies) and send an extra set of clothes in case they get wet.

Monday, Oct 10th

Q2 Choice Hour info will be available on-line. For Q2 Choice Hours, there will be a Geography class offered on Tuesdays. This class will prepare students for a National Geographic Bee in January. Students are not required to take the Choice Hour class to enter the Bee. More information will be coming.
Goal Setting Conferences are this week. To refresh your memory, the signup sheets were on the table by the classroom during Curriculum Night. Please see the JoBerts Wiki page for information as there are exercises to complete prior to your meeting time.

1) If you are collecting Box Tops for Education to bring to the office, please remember to trim them down to the Box Tops outlines. If this isn't done, volunteers have to spend many hours trimming before the Tops can be redeemed. Many thanks to all who participate. If you shop at Kroger, on their website you can go to "School Programs" on the "Services" menu, then go to "Box Tops for Education", or just go to the link,, to register you Kroger Bonus card. Mr. and Mrs. Joberts are very excited for what promises to be an amazing year of learning and growing!We hope you had an amazing summer and have lots of exciting tales to tell us when we return to school on Tuesday. Before you pack up your backpack ready for the new school year and ensure that you have .We will be starting off the year with an Engage project which is so fun, and we will need toilet roll tubes. So please start collecting them and bring them to school with the rest of your supplies.
